One woman has been arrested following the seizure of €72,000 in cash by Gardaí in Westbury on Sunday.
Gardaí from the Limerick Divisional Drugs Unit were assisted by the Armed Response Unit in executing a search warrant at a house in Westbury shortly after 7pm on Sunday. The search operation took place as part of an ongoing operation targeting the sale and supply of drugs.
Approximately €72,000 in cash was seized by Gardaí during the search. One woman aged in her twenties was arrested at the scene and brought to Henry St Garda Station in Limerick.
She was detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 and has since been released. A file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
