A burst main has caused a water outage in parts of West Clare.
Households in Quilty, Doonbeg, Cooraclare, Kilkee, Kilrush, Kilmihil, Labasheeda, Creegh and surrounding areas have reported outages, discolouration and low water pressure as a result of the sudden burst pipe near Creegh.
Crews from Irish Water and Clare County Council have been working to restore the supply and estimate that it will have returned by 11pm on Thursday night.
“Following the completion of the repair it may take a number of hours for normal water supply to fully return to all affected properties,” a spokesperson for Irish Water told The Clare Echo.
