THREE unlocked cars were broken into and had items taken from them over the period of a couple of hours on one Christmas night in Ennis.
Overnight on Sunday December 19th into Monday morning December 20th, a total of three cars were broken into across the county town.
A laptop was taken from a car parked on Cornmarket Street, a sum of money was stolen from the glove compartment of a car parked on Old Mill Road, Cloughleigh and cash and sunglasses were taken from another car parked on the Kilrush Road.
Crime prevention officer, Triona Brooks confirmed that all cars were unlocked. “We want to remind car owners to secure all doors and windows and use your car alarm. Take valuable property with you and do not leave valuable property on view inside the car”.
Meanwhile in Killaloe, between November 21st and St Stephen’s Day, a 20 foot 5 seat fiberglass boat beige in colour with a green top and wooden trim and an electric start outboard engine were stolen from The Boathouse, Annacarriga, Killaloe.
