BRIAN LOHAN has made two changes to the Clare senior hurling team for Saturday’s meeting with reigning All-Ireland, Munster and National Hurling League champions Limerick.

Eibhear Quilligan replaces Eamonn Foudy between the posts for Clare while injury rules Ryan Taylor out of the starting fifteen though he is named on the bench, David Fitzgerald’s one match suspension has been served and he will make his first championship appearance of the year.

Fitzgerald is named to partner Cathal Malone at midfield. The back six remains unchanged despite conceding five goals last weekend.

Tony Kelly captains the side from centre forward where he is flanked by Peter Duggan and Aidan McCarthy. Mark Rodgers who scored two goals last weekend joins Shane O’Donnell and Ian Galvin in the full-forward line.

Seadna Morey returns to the bench following a hamstring injury. Both Paddy Donnellan and Brandon O’Connell miss out on the matchday twenty six this weekend.

Reports emerged this week that Limerick captain Declan Hannon was set for a month on the sidelines with a groin injury but the Adare man is named at centre back for John Kiely’s side. Gearoid Hegarty is dropped from the starting team with Cathal O’Neill entering the fray at wing forward as a result.
