TRAFFIC IN ENNISTYMON came to a standstill for close to half an hour following a two car collision on Friday evening.
Emergency services including An Garda Síochána and a unit from Ennistymon Fire Station attended the scene with the road now reopened and traffic moving freely in the locality.
The incident occurred shortly before 6pm on the Circular Rd at the Ennis Rd junction in Ennistymon with persons in the vicinity startled after hearing the loud bang when both cars collided.
No serious injuries have been reported with the motorists involved hoped to make a swift recovery.
Motorists heading for Ennistymon, Lahinch and parts of North Clare were delayed for an approximate thirty minutes. No further delays have been reported by the traffic blackspot, Blake’s Corner.
