A CHRISTMAS break is upon us in the local soccer scene and the season to date is reviewed in the latest episode of The Water Break.

The Clare Echo has now committed to producing a monthly soccer podcast for our subscribers and episode two charts the campaign so far for all teams competing in the CDSL Premier Division.

Secretary of the Clare soccer branch of referees, Michael Rock speaks about the shortage of referees in the county, the comparisons between officiating on soccer and gaelic football during an in-depth conversation.

Analysis of all teams in the Premier Division is provided by former Avenue Utd and Clare youths manager, Pat McDaid plus ex Collingwood Cup star and former Manus Celtic boss, Derek Dormer.
