NINE teams are left standing in the race for honours in the Clare senior and intermediate football championships.

Round three has come and gone resulting in Corofin, Doonbeg and Kilmihil bowing out of the competition and now turning their focus towards surviving relegation.

Top spot in the senior groups has been claimed by Éire Óg, St Breckan’s and Cratloe with Kilmurry Ibrickane, St Joseph’s Doora/Barefield, St Joseph’s Miltown and Ennistymon all advancing to the quarter-finals while the last spot will be occupied by the winners of Lissycasey and Kildysart.

To look back on the weekend’s action, Páraic McMahon is joined by ex Kildysart footballer Ger ‘Bobby‘ Kelly, Clare IFC winning Kilmihil manager Paul Reidy and Kilfenora native James Brody who helped to orchestrate Ennistymon’s Minor A winning success of last year.

On the agenda:

    • It’s Éire Óg’s title to lose
    • Boosting attendances at club football games
    • Kilmihil’s chances of retaining their senior status
    • Swagger returning to Kilmurry Ibrickane
    • Cusack Cup is the new O’Gorman Cup
    • St Breckan’s attempts to bridge the gap on 2023 county final loss
    • Big men drove it forward for St Joseph’s Miltown
    • Ennistymon need to rethink and find Brendy Rouine’s best position
    • Kildysart were always confident of holding their own at senior
    • Conversion requires focus from Doora/Barefield
    • Leaders missing for Lissycasey
    • Play-off of Kildysart vs Lissycasey could be the game of the championship
    • Cratloe one of the most underrated champions
    • Who’s in trouble for the relegation battle
    • Outside tips for the intermediate title
