PENULTIMATE stages in the TUS Clare senior and intermediate football championships are just around the corner.
Contrasting climates may have impacted on proceedings in the quarter-finals whether winds of change will swirl in the guise of new champions is yet to be decided but anticipation is already building for what has the potential to be four excellent semi-finals in both grades.
It sets the scene for the latest episode of The Water Break where Páraic McMahon is joined by Clare and Kildysart forward Emmet McMahon, Clare and Shannon Gaels midfielder Darragh Bohannon and the man who led Éire Óg to Clare SFC glory in 2006, Barry Donnelly.
