As the new year gets underway we all hoped that Covid-19 would have been well supressed and we could begin the long road to rebuilding our lives but sadly that is not the case.
One additional death and 11 new cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in the Republic of Ireland while Co Clare is now 19 days without an increase in personnel diagnosed.
As it stands, health officials will not be recommending the easing of current restrictions on the movement of the public with confirmation of 386 new cases of COVID-19 in the Republic of Ireland, 3 in Co Clare and 18 more deaths.
