*The harassment took place in June 2020. A JUDGE has imposed a prison term of 22 months on a West Clare man for carrying out an eight day “campaign of harassment” via Facebook against a serving Garda.
*Gort Courthouse. A JUDGE has jailed an ‘uncontrollable’ 30 year old man for two months for an assault on a Garda Inspector during a civil court sitting at Gort courthouse.
*The Burren Hostel. A 61-year old Ukrainian national who has four sons fighting in the war against the Russians, has pleaded guilty to an assault causing harm offence at a Direct Provision centre in North Clare.

*A date for sentencing hearing will be set next month. A 28-year old Ennis man convicted last July of the rape of a teenage girl he had befriended online, has pleaded guilty to three money laundering offences.
*The threat was made in August. A 30-year old Ennis man has pleaded guilty to threatening a hitch-hiker that he would set him alight after pulling out a plastic bottle full of petrol if he did not pay money for his lift.

*Mark Hayes. A 35-year old Shannon man with a ’serious streak of violence’ who told his then girlfriend while she lay on the floor covered in blood ‘look at you now b*t*h, you are going to be dead soon’ has been jailed for seven years and one month.
