The Cahercalla Cup, sponsored by Gerard and Declan Daly, Insurance Brokers, was played for at Ennis on Sunday with one hundred and fifty seven members playing.
*Winners of the Club Clare Golf Classic – Conor Gilligan, Sean Neylon, Martin McGivern, Tom Galvin. Captain John Casey’s prize was played for at Dromoland at the weekend when Hugh O’Neill emerged as the winner with 99.

After almost 17 weeks of inactivity, the countdown is finally on for the reopening of Ennis Golf Club on Monday. And for Club President Steve Burns, it simply couldn’t come soon enough.
While the majority of club golfers concentrate on the various competitions in their clubs, those in the low handicap bracket aspire to competing in scratch cup events throughout the country and progressing on to qualifying to play in such prestigious competitions at the South of Ireland amateur championship.
Two long standing competitions at Ennis golf club, the Knox and Koley Cups, concluded on Monday when the finals were decided.
The Winter league is in full swing at Woodstock and the winners of round one which was a rumble were Noel and Dave Moloney, Stephen Barry and Noel Casey junior with 90 points.
The days may be getting shorter as Winter approaches but competitions at Lahinch Golf Club continue to be well supported.
