*The assault took place in February. A 45-year old Ennis carpenter has appeared in court charged in connection with a claw-hammer assault on a man at his home in front of the alleged victim’s two children, aged 12 and 10.

*Both farmers are to attend court this Wednesday. A JUDGE has ordered that two Clare farmers not go within 200 metres of a couple’s home in the county after hearing that the couple have been subject to alleged ‘bully-boy tactics’.
