A powerful final quarter saw Lissycasey retain the O’Gorman Cup at Doonbeg on Saturday evening when they recorded a comprehensive victory over Ennistymon.
In a high scoring Clare senior football championship semi-final, Kilmurry-Ibrickane’s greater calmness under pressure proved decisive as they edged a most entertaining contest with Lissycasey.
Lissycasey deservedly advanced to a first County Senior Football Championship in seven years after again fending off adversity, this time getting the better of neighbours Kilmihil on Saturday afternoon.
One look at the line out of the Kilmaley senior hurling management team and it’s easy to understand why the club is short listed for honours in 2020.
