Clare’s remaining two clubs in the race for the prestigious FAI Junior Cup will be away from home for their round 5 fixtures.
It was a great weekend for Clare soccer as two of the league’s premier sides advanced to round 4 of the FAI Junior cup when recording impressive away victories.
*Brian Monaghan was on the scoresheet and had one assist for Shannon Town. Photograph: Natasha Barton MUNSTER Junior Cup victories were recorded by Shannon Town, Ennis Town and Avenue Utd over the weekend.
*Mark Roche was among the goal-scorers for Avenue Utd. Avenue Utd have maintained their recent edge over Newmarket Celtic by sending the League and Cup champions out of the Munster Junior Cup.
*Dylan Casey scored the all-important goal for Avenue Utd. Photograph: John Mangan Avenue United and Ennis Town progressed to the next round of the FAI Junior cup with home victories over Desmond league opposition on Sunday.
