Shannon to Host Jobs Fair in Partnership with Department of Social Protection and LAIT

Shannon will soon be the hub for local job seekers and employers alike as Shannon Chamber, in collaboration with the Department of Social Protection and the Local Authority Integration Team (LAIT), hosts a Jobs Fair. The event, part of the Department’s annual Work and Skills Campaign, aims to connect local businesses with talented professionals seeking new employment opportunities.

The Jobs Fair will offer a platform for employers to showcase their available positions and meet prospective candidates face-to-face, while providing job seekers with an invaluable chance to explore career possibilities in the region.

For Employers: Local businesses with open vacancies are encouraged to participate by submitting their job listings to Shannon Chamber at admin@shannonchamber.ie. Employers will have the opportunity to meet potential employees and recruit from a pool of skilled, motivated professionals eager to take the next step in their careers.

Additionally, employers are invited to register their open positions on the Jobs Ireland website by March 26, ensuring their listings are advertised nationally and across Europe on the EU’s EURES portal. Cathy Moran, an EURES Officer, will also host an online briefing session for employers to discuss how to make the most of this recruitment tool.

For Job Seekers: The fair presents a prime opportunity for job seekers to meet local employers, learn more about career opportunities, and network with industry professionals. Attendees can ask questions, explore different roles, and take the next step in their professional journeys.

Event Details:

  • How to Participate: Employers can register by emailing Shannon Chamber at admin@shannonchamber.ie.
  • Special Services: A sign language interpreter will be available for attendees who require assistance.

The Jobs Fair is set to be a key event for fostering collaboration and career growth within the Shannon community, benefiting both employers looking to source talented employees and job seekers eager to meet their next potential employers.

For more information, employers can contact Shannon Chamber at admin@shannonchamber.ie.

This exciting event is not to be missed for anyone looking to make meaningful connections in the local job market!
