Munster Gael Linn:

This Munster Interclub tournament of mix pair U13, boy and girl from the same club took place in Tuamgraney on Sunday. Clare were represented by Tuamgraney(Sinead Doyle/Daniel Madden) and Kilkishen(Tracy Tuohy/Walter Moroney). Cork had two teams also with Boherbue and Ballydesmond in action and Tipperary had Ballina.

Kilkishen had the quarter final against Ballina and won through to a semi-final against Ballydesmond which they won in a tie break. Tuamgraney had a semi-final win over Boherbue.

Tuamgraney were winners in the local derby in the final. But both Clare teams will go on further now to National finals Saturday January 27th in Leinster venue.

Juvenile B Championship:

The first rounds in the Boys U11,12,13 and 14 competition took place this weekend. All grades in boys and girls U11-U18 will be in action from next weekend. There are over 100 in all taking part.

She’s Ace:

This festival of female games in both 40×20 4 wall handball and one wall handball takes place in Dublin venues Saturday January 20th, this will include the National Handball Centre in Croke Park. Clare will be represented across the ages from u11 to adult.

Cumann na mBunscoil:

The Clare Finals of Cumann na mBunscoil will take place in Clarecastle on Monday to Wednesday on 22-24th January. These are U11 and U13 grades girls and boys both Singles and Doubles. There has been huge interest in underage handball and the entry to this level is growing yearly with over 50 children across Clare schools trying out for County Primary Handball teams prior to Christmas

Adult Handball:

Inter Club Clare adult leagues from Divisions 1-4 are continuing with round 5 of games taking place this coming week. There will be quarter finals in all Divisions the week of January 22nd-26th.

That week will also see the commencement of Munster Doubles competition with Clare well represented across the grades from U18 to Ruby Masters.
