Ennis teenager Kate Harty has been named as this year’s winner of the Gerry Ryan Memorial Competition.
Gerry was a founding member of the Ennis Camera Club, since his death the club have held an annual competition for landscape photographs.
This year, Sheamus O’Donoghue from Shannon Camera Club and the Irish Photographic Federation judged the competition.
Kate, a student at Colaiste Mhuire was selected as the winner of the competition and was also named as the most improved photographer of the year.
Newly elected chairperson of the Ennis Camera Club, Mike Reen presented Kate with the trophy at The Old Ground Hotel alongside outgoing chair Chris Copley.
