CLARE’S senior football side to take on Kerry in the Munster Final shows one change from the team which defeated Limerick.

Injury rules out midfielder Darragh Bohannon but into the fray comes Darren O’Neill, the Éire Óg man made an invaluable contribution off the bench in the quarter-final win over Cork while he was due to start against Limerick but was limited to a thirty minute appearance as a result of injury.

Bohannon’s absence from the squad coupled with the elimination of the Clare U20s and the seven day eligibility rule sees Brian McNamara listed among the substitutes for the first time in this year’s championship.

Manus Doherty and Cillian Brennan are set to start, the duo appear to have been given the all-clear after having limited preparation since the semi-final, they join Cillian Rouine in the full-back line with Kilrush’s Stephen Ryan behind them between the posts.

Jamie Malone anchors the defence where he is flanked by Ciaran Russell and Daniel Walsh on the wings. The return of Cian O’Dea to the matchday squad is another lift for Colm Collins’ men.

Captain Eoin Cleary is listed to start at corner forward in a line that also contains Keelan Sexton and Podge Collins with the half-forward line comprised of the industrious duo of Pearse Lillis and Dermot Coughlan with sharpshooter Emmet McMahon in the centre.

Lissycasey’s Aaron Griffin misses out on the panel as he continues to recover from injury.

Kerry boss Jack O’Connor has handed a first championship start to Dylan Casey at corner back, the Austin Stacks clubman benefits from the absence of the injured Paul Murphy. This sees Graham O’Sullivan move to wing back.

No other changes have been made by O’Connor with Tony Brosnan, who kicked 0-5 from play in that game, in the full-forward line alongside David Clifford and Paul Geaney.

Brian Ó Beaglaoich and Stephen O’Brien, both of whom started last year’s All-Ireland final, are listed among the substitutes with Adrian and Killian Spillane plus Micheál Burns who goaled in the counties last championship encounter.
