KILMURRY’s Oisin O’Grady broken two Irish records when competing in the national pool lifesaving championships.
First Oisin broke the Irish record for the junior 100m Mankin Carry with a time of 48.47 at Water Safety Ireland’s National Pool Lifesaving Championships on Saturday. He is the first person in Ireland to have a sub 50 time.
Within twenty four hours, the teenager smashed another record, this time in the junior 100m tow with fins. He finished in a time of 57.91.
Clare’s masters ladies team also set a new national record in the 200m obstacle relay.
