NO ARRESTS have been made following a violent altercation in Clarecastle in the past fortnight.

On Saturday last, violence descended on Church Drive in Clarecastle where one black car was rammed into by another travelling at speed, with men emerging with an axe, crowbar and shovels at the scene.

Subsequent to the altercation, a small video of it has emerged containing a loud bang.

A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána told The Clare Echo confirmed they were investigating “the possession of an offensive weapon” from the incident.

While an investigation remains ongoing, no arrests have been made, The Clare Echo understands.

No persons were reported to be injured following the incident.
