Dancers, movers and shakers of all abilities are being sought for an exciting new Dance Project in Clare.

Clare County Council Arts Office, in partnership with Croí Glan Integrated Dance Company and the Brothers of Charity, is hosting the ‘’Boga Boga – Move Move’’ Integrated Dance Project.

Tara Brandel, Dancer/Choreographer and Director of the renowned Croí Glan Integrated Dance Company, has been invited to Clare to facilitate Integrated Dance workshops for members of the public.

Originally from West Cork, Tara is a contemporary choreographer and performer, her work has been performed at Firkin Crane, Triskel Arts Centre, Cork Opera House, Cork; Project Arts Centre, Dublin, Germany; 848 Community Space, Jon Sims Centre, Dance Mission Theatre, and Performance Showcase in San Francisco.

Siobhan Mulcahy, Clare County Council Arts Officer, commented, “Integrated Dance provides a unique nonverbal environment where disabled and able bodied people can feel their equality and shared humanity through an immediate and visceral experience.”

She continued, “Integrated Dance is an empowering experience which provides a safe environment to build up trust and confidence; increase physicality and range of motion; provide an outlet for physical expression and creativity; and celebrate the diversity of the human body, and the uniqueness of each person’s way of moving.”

The FREE workshops will take place on 27th September, 4th October and 1st November (10.00am-midday, 2.00pm-4.00pm) at Waterpark House, Drumbiggle Road, Ennis, Clare. Places are limited and require committment to all three workshops.
