JOSEPH MCGANN will be available for selection for the Clare senior footballers when they welcome Derry to Cusack Park this Sunday.

Colm Collins’ senior footballers are unbeaten in their opening three rounds of the Allianz National Football League following draws with Cork and Roscommon and a victory against Offaly.

Lightning quick forward McGann has returned to the county senior football panel following a brief hiatus after the McGrath Cup. The St Breckans clubman was close to making the matchday panel for Sunday’s draw with Roscommon in the aftermath of his arrival back to the Clare squad, he has not lined out in this year’s League campaign to date.

Memorably in last year’s Allianz National Football League, the Doolin man made quite the impact in May when he scored a match-winning goal fresh from his introduction off the bench to see Clare record their first ever win in Newbridge at the expense of Kildare then managed by Jack O’Connor who has since been appointed Kerry boss for the third time.

Collins confirmed to The Clare Echo that Joe is currently on the panel despite some reports that he was contemplating a longer break.
