A MAN ARRESTED on Friday in relation to the seizure of €700k of suspected heroin has been released without charge.
One man aged in his sixties was arrested on Friday following a search operation that saw €700,000 worth of suspected heroin seized in Ardnacrusha.
Limerick Divisional Drugs Unit led the planned searches as part of Operation Tara, assistance was provided by the local Garda units, the Regional Dog Unit and members of the Defence Forces.
An Garda Síochána have confirmed that a file is to be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions with investigations ongoing. He had been detained at Henry St Garda Station in Limerick.
