KILLALOE:
Derg Credit Unions have made some changes to their opening hours. They are available for lodgements and withdrawals only. Opening hours will be altering. See their website for updates. Members have been asked to avoid using the office where possible, to make debit card payments over the phone, to use the online banking facility and to make lodgements through the secure mail box at each office.

Green Cross Pharmacy remains open. They have asked people to phone 48 hours in advance to order prescriptions, their number is 061-620-128. “We will only issue one month’s medication at a time”. Personnel that have been abroad or have come into contact with anyone that has Covid-19 are asked to ring instead of visiting the store. “We can no longer provide private consultations. If you would like to speak to the pharmacist in private please phone us instead. We have adopted measures to support 2 metres social distancing. Please allow two metres distance between you, your fellow customers and our staff while in store. We kindly request that payments are made by contactless card where possible.We would ask young healthy people to check on their elderly relatives and friends and collect their prescriptions for them if necessary”. NEWMARKET-ON-FERGUS:

Eurospar had enforced social distancing measures keeping customers apart from each other as they queue. Hours: 7am – 10pm (Monday – Saturday), 8am – 9pm (Sunday).

Mamma Mia’s Pizzeria remains open and has brought forward their closing hours to 10pm nightly. Customers must phone in orders, pay with card where possible. One person rather than the entire family is asked to collect food to limit the amount of customers at once. A maximum of three customers at a time are allowed in the premises. Meals on Wheels have expanded their services and are now operating deliveries to Ennis and Ballyea as well as its traditional routes of Newmarket, Clarecastle, Kilkishen, Quin, Sixmilebridge and Shannon. Derg Credit Unions can take loan applications plus lodgements and withdrawals. Currently open Monday, Tuesday and Friday (10am – 4pm) and Thursday (10:30am – 4pm). Sanitising wipes and gels will be available for trolleys and baskets, the store has been limited to a capacity of 100 shoppers at a time, queues at required social distances are in place outside the store. Fresh counters are closed, group shopping is now limited and is not advised by management. The hours of 11am to 1pm are allocated to the elderly and vulnerable to pick up essentials.
