A BUSINESS PREMISES in Killaloe caught fire on Monday afternoon.

The Clare Echo understands that there have been no serious injuries following the blaze which occurred at the premises of Walsh’s Bar located on the main street of Killaloe.

An alarm was raised at approximately 12:50pm following the outbreak of the fire with emergency services responding to the scene including An Garda Síochána, the National Ambulance Service and units of the Clare County Fire Service in Killaloe and Scariff. The blaze which has caused considerable damage to the building.

Main street in Killaloe has been closed off as emergency services remain at the scene.

Walsh’s Bar is a popular spot in the East Clare town and is noted for its live music along with broadcasting sports coverage.
