ADEPT Digital Solutions is celebrating one year in business by offering clients a 10 per cent discount.

Owned and operated by Gillian Lafferty in her native Inagh, Adept Digital Solutions offers website design and digital marketing services. Having established her business on April 2, 2021, Gillian told The Clare Echo her first year has been “both challenging and rewarding”.

“I have loved every minute of it,” says Gillian, who notes that being deaf hasn’t prevented her from growing her business. “I enjoy creating relationships with clients and building communities.  Considering what we have been through in the last two years, where would we be without online business.

“Many businesses would not have survived had they not been able to set up online. I am glad I was able to assist some of these businesses reach an even wider audience than would have been possible with just bricks and mortar.”

Gillian admits she has been amazed by the scope of her client-base, having worked with businesses in the UK, USA and Philippines, which she adds is only possible with “the technology we have today – imagine what that would have been like 20 years ago!”

Gillian is encouraging businesses to avail of Clare LEO’s Trading Online Voucher, which offers some businesses a grant of up to €2,500 or 50 per cent of the eligible costs. “This would be incredibly useful if they applied for the grant to get their business online.”

“The fact that I am Deaf has not prevented me from running my own business. Modern technology has made it easier for me to communicate. My family, friends, and community have been so supportive – I appreciate all of their help!”
