A strong sense of hunger is prevalent in the Inagh/Kilnamona ranks this year, manager Eugene Cullinan has said.

Unbeaten in their five games to date, Inagh/Kilnamona have yet another tough challenge on the cards when they battle off with Éire Óg in Saturday’s Clare SHC semi-final.

Eugene Cullinan noted that their four point quarter-final win over Cratloe brought a sense of relief. “I’m delighted that we have qualified for the semi-final. I’m thrilled for the boys. They have a huge effort put in and its great to get the reward.. the goal definitely settled us. Cratloe had huge momentum at the start. They have huge experience of occasions like this. We found it difficult to find our feet but once we started motoring, we did well”.

Players are driving what he described a very hungry set-up. “Our lads showed that they really wanted it. Hunger and drive is more important than anything and the lads have that. We have a good bench with a few lads who were disappointed that they didn’t get in today. The group are driving themselves on, each man is driven by the next man”.
