GARDAÍ are appealing for witnesses to come forward following a serious road traffic collision in Miltown Malbay on Sunday.

Five people were injured in the two vehicle collision which occurred at 6:30pm on the N67 leading from Miltown Malbay to Spanish Point. None of the injuries sustained are life-threatening.

To allow Garda Forensic Collision investigators examine the scene, the N67 was closed from Sunday evening until Monday morning. Engine fluid and a large amount of debris was also removed from the road by emergency services.

Gardaí are appealing for any motorists or witnesses in the area at the time to come forward and make contact. The incident is being investigated from Ennistymon Garda Station and they can be contacted on 065-7072180.

“This was a serious collision and any assistance from the public would be greatly appreciated,” explained Sergeant Dominic Regan.
