NEWMARKET-ON-FERGUS’ first St Patrick’s Day parade went down a treat.

A high level of participation was noted by organisers of the St Patrick’s Day parade in the village of Newmarket-on-Fergus.

Nine months on from his retirement from local politics, former councillor Pat McMahon (FF) had the distinction of serving as Grand Marshal.

O’Neill’s Pub won the best float and had plenty of regulars playing central parts in their theatrical effort.
