A FREEZING FOG weather warning is to come into effect for Co Clare from 12pm on Monday.
Met Éireann have warned of “very hazardous driving conditions” as a result of a Status Orange freezing fog weather warning for 26 counties including Clare.
The weather alert remains in place from 12pm on Monday to midnight. Met Éireann have forecasted “Freezing fog, dense in places, will persist through the afternoon and into tonight, leading to very hazardous driving conditions”.
It applies for Clare, Limerick, Galway, Tipperary, Sligo, Mayo, Roscommon, Leitrim, Carlow, Dublin, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Louth, Meath, Offaly, Westmeath, Cavan, Donegal and Monaghan.
Clare County Council has been salting national secondary, regional and some local roads. The routes included are shown on the Priority 3 map.
