IRISH LIFESTYLE brand, beo has opened a new flagship store in 71 O’Connell Street, Ennis.

Now celebrating six years in business, the Ennis store forms part of the expansion plans for the brand founded by Aoibhín Garrihy and Sharon Connellan. A cottage shop and event space has recently been opened by beo in Lahinch.

An official launch of the store took place at the beginning of November. Three new jobs have been created as a result with this figure set to expand once its coffee house opens.

Commenting on the announcement, co-founder Aoibhín Garrihy said: “If you don’t put down roots, you will never grow and we cannot wait to welcome people to our flagship store. We’ve been quietly working on this for the past year and it’s an amazing feeling to finally open this store in a place that’s very special to us”.

Sharon Connellan, beo co-founder stated, “We fell in love with this charming townhouse, steeped in history and full of character which dates back to the early 1800s. This fabulous new retail space is a palace that we will call home. The plan to have a coffee house and a dedicated studio early next year to which we believe will create an exceptional shopping experience”.

Following their pop-up space at Kildare Village, summer 2023 brought about a brand new coastal cottage shop by the beach on Main Street in Lahinch. The cottage quickly became a community hub which hosted interactive and engaging events all summer long from weekly yoga mornings, sound baths, crystal meditations to paint and sip classes. Not just your ordinary store, it is a hive of activity for holiday makers, locals and beyond.

A selection of beo products with a mix from Irish designers and makers in Ennis are now available in the new store. From new items like yoga mats and ceramics to luxury sleepwear, candles, books and their popular bold knits- beo continues to create unique retail experiences with an eye towards creativity and elevating the everyday. The enhanced brand is now a full lifestyle shopping destination.

Aoibhín added, “beo began by bringing women together. We wanted to create a community where you can fill your cup to the brim. To hold space where we can inspire, support each other and where we can be seen, heard and understood in all of our complexity. Alongside our events, the beo flagship store will offer a collection of beautiful things designed to enrich your life. Each product has the same intention – to help you take care of you”.
