Five new cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in Co Clare.
Nationally, a total of 255 positive cases have been diagnosed in the past 24 hours. Community transmission has been identified the cause for 69 of these while 34 percent are associated with outbreaks or close contact with a confirmed case. There has been a total of 30,985 confirmed cases in the past six months.
Dublin (156), Waterford (22), Donegal (13), Wicklow (11), Limerick (9), Kildare (8) and Clare (5) account for the bulk of cases with 31 spread between Carlow, Cork, Galway, Kerry, Laois, Longford, Louth, Mayo, Meath, Offaly, Tipperary, Westmeath and Wexford.
Clare’s increase of five cases follows confirmation of an additional two cases on Friday. It means 502 people have tested positive for the virus since March in the county.

One further death from COVID-19 has been announced by officials in the Department of Health. It brings the death toll across the country to 1,784.
