A routine operation at Shannon Airport on Friday discovered herbal cannabis with an estimated street value of €90,000.

Revenue officers seized the drugs which were found in a parcel that arrived from Spain and labelled as ‘clothing’. The cannabis was addressed to Co Carlow.

Investigations are currently ongoing anyone with information in relation to drug smuggling is asked to contact Revenue in confidence on Confidential Phone Number 1800 295 295.
