Broadford’s victory over Sixmilebridge means they still have a chance of retaining their status in the top tier if they can prevail in their final round clash.
Crusheen and O’Callaghans Mills finished all square with both sides still in the race to qualify for the semi-finals.
Clooney/Quin are on course to make the last four, Tommy Corbett’s charges are impressing in Division 1B and look likely to win promotion in their first season in the Division.

Crusheen and O’Calllaghans Mills remain very much in contention for the knockout stage of the Clare Cup following their draw in round 7 of the competition at Kilkishen on Tuesday evening.
At the end of a closely fought first half the home side led by the minimum margin, 0-7 to 0-6.
It continued to be an evenly matched affair in the second half in which Conor Henry got the game’s only goal.

Broadford keep hopes of avoiding relegation alive

A very understrength Sixmilebridge team was comprehensively beaten by Broadford at O’Garney Park on Tuesday evening and the win has given Brodford a glimmer of hope that they might avoid relegation to Division 1B for next season.
A strong first half showing laid the foundations for this win, only their second in the current campaign.
Goals from Stiofan McMahon and Sean Phelan helped them to a nine point lead at the interval when the score was 2-9 to 0-6.
Hopes of a Sixmilebridge rally were raised early in the second half when Alan Mulready got their goal but a more experienced Broadford regained the upperhand and powered on to a merited win.

Clooney-Quin moved a step closer to the Clare cup knock out stage and promotion to Division 1A when they accounted for Tubber at the latter;s venue on Wednesday evening.
A haul of 0-11 from Jack O’Neill played a key role in the team’s latest victory as a result of which they are top of the division 1 B table with two rounds to play in which they will be away to Parteen/Meelick and Whitegate.
A goal from full forward Cillian Duggan helped Clooney-Quin to lead 1-10 to 0-10 at half time in this latest outing.
Tubber, fresh from their victory in the Kilbecanty 7 a side competition at the weekend, faded in the second half as the visitors dominated in key areas.
