CLARE’s senior footballers will face Roscommon this Saturday.

Their pairing in the second round of the All-Ireland SFC qualifiers was confirmed following Monday morning’s draw. Fixture details will be announced this afternoon.

Both sides drew in their Allianz National Football League encounter played at Dr Hyde Park in February, a game that Clare should arguably have claimed the points in.

It will be the first championship meeting between the sides since 2016 when Colm Collins’ Clare had a 2-12 1-09 All-Ireland qualifier Round 4A win over the Rossies with David Tubridy and Jamie Malone netting the goals.

That win propelled Clare into their first ever All-Ireland SFC quarter-final and another last eight place can be secured if the Banner can repeat the outcome against Anthony Cunningham’s charges.

A two point win over Meath on Saturday sealed Clare’s place in the draw while Roscommon will make their first outing since losing the Connacht Final to Galway 2-19 2-16.

All-Ireland SFC qualifiers round two:
Roscommon v Clare
Limerick v Cork
Kildare v Mayo
Donegal v Armagh
