QUARTER-FINAL AND SEMI-FINAL draws have been held for the Banner Carpets and Flooring Clare Cup.

Eleven teams are left in the hunt to secure Cup glory with three last sixteen games yet to be played. The only definite pairing confirmed is the meeting of Lifford FC and Tulla Utd, the Ennis side caused an upset when eliminating Shannon Town Utd A from the competition.

Holders Newmarket Celtic await the winners of Kilkishen Celtic and Sporting Ennistymon with their main challengers Avenue Utd set to take on either Mountshannon Celtic or Ennis Town FC.

Shannon Hibs A will be facing local rivals, the question remains whether it will be Bridge Utd A or Shannon Town Utd B.

Monday’s draw at Banner Carpets and Flooring’s store in the Quin Rd Business Park also put provisional semi-final pairings in place. Both Newmarket Celtic and Avenue Utd will not meet unless it is in the decider.

Fixtures secretary Brendan Browne officiated the draw with Child Welfare Officer Tommy Molloy and sponsor Rory O’Connor pulling the teams from the Cup.
