A CHILDREN’S crossing is to be installed in the centre of a large Roslevan housing estate.
Cllr Pat Daly (FF) tabled the request for the installation of a sign encouraging drivers to slow down with the presence of children within the Lios Ard estate in Roslevan.
Acting senior executive engineer in the Ennis Municipal District, Paddy Tiernan advised that a children crossing sign “as per the Department of Transport traffic signs manual is more appropriate at this location. This sign will be procured and installed”.
With “a huge population”, the addition of a children’s crossing would be “very acceptable,” Cllr Daly stated. His proposal was seconded by Cllr Johnny Flynn (FG).
