THE Clare Echo can exclusively reveal that American music legend Bruce Springsteen is staying in Feakle for the duration of the Covid-19 emergency.

“The Boss” as he is known to fans, was due to play a top secret gig at a wedding in a nearby five star hotel which cannot be named at this time. The wedding was unfortunately postponed following new Government restrictions introduced at midnight on Friday.

The New Jersey native has subsequently rented an AirBNB residence in the picturesque East Clare village of Feakle where he is expected to remain until the 2km radius measures are lifted.

According to local sources, the Thunder Road singer has been seen leaving the house, which is on the road to Bodyke, for brief exercise each morning.

He was spotted walking around the area but really he was Born to Run.

Springsteen is reportedly joined by members of the E-Street band in the five bedroom house.
