Swimming bans have been lifted from five Clare beaches.

A do not swim notice was in place for Kilkee, Quilty, Spanish Point, Lahinch and White Strand in Miltown Malbay since last week and remained for the duration of the August Bank Holiday weekend.

Restrictions have been lifted following analysis of weekend tests.

Members of the public are encouraged to only swim at lifeguarded locations.
